Yesterday, my daughter announced that she is getting married. Again. That’s pretty scary, considering this will be her fourth or fifth husband. We lost count of her weddings and divorces two years ago. First, she married a guy from her class. Then she married a second guy from her class. Third, I think, she married the dude across the street. There was one of my son’s buddies somewhere. Now, she is marrying another classmate.
I suggested that perhaps this fifth marriage and fourth divorce was a little much, and she told me that she was old enough to make her own decisions. I added, “And mistakes!” and she said, “Those too!”
Somehow, she manages to continuously pick guys I really like. So, I’m not too upset.
I asked her about her first husband from three years ago and why she married him. She said that he is funny and tickles well and is still a good friend. The second one was really nice to her. The third was the smart guy in her class. The fourth, dressed nice. I have not gotten a good answer about the fifth. When I ask, she just gets embarrassed and walks off. Maybe this one will stick.
